Who we are
The sCOOL-IT consortium consists of 6 partners from 5 EU countries: Bulgaria, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal and Netherlands. The partners have different but complementary skills and there is variety in each partner’s experiences and their specialized knowledge required to complete each outcome.

The National Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Systems (NPG), was established in 1986 as a Training Qualification Technology Center. In 2004 the name of the school was changed and it was affiliated to the Technical University (TU). From 25.10.2017, NPG acquired the status of a national vocational secondary school specialized in providing education in the area of IT to students from all over the country.
Today the school educates more than 500 students in the discipline System Programming and prepares highly qualified specialists who successfully continue their development in Bulgaria or abroad. In its work, the school strives to provide its students with the best opportunities to develop relevant and up-to-date knowledge and skills in order to participate fully in diverse and quickly changing societies and to be successful in the labour market.
To achieve this goal NPG relies on its highly qualified staff, consisting of 57 teachers and 40 administrative staff. Additionally more than 20 professors, associate professors and senior assistants from the TU teach in the school.

The Hallgarten Franchetti Centro Studi Villa Montesca Foundation (CSFVM) carries on the tradition of the Centro Studi e Formazione Villa Montesca founded in 2001 at Villa Montesca where in 1909 Maria Montessori organized a seminar that gave birth to the first publication of the scientific pedagogic method universally known as the ‘Montessori Method’. CSFVM is nowadays internationally renowned for top quality research and training in teacher training, information technology and communication, education on European integration and regional cooperation in the field of education and culture at local, regional and European level.
The Foundation has a vast experience in managing interdisciplinary project teams composed of researchers from Universities and other educational organizations. FCSVM serves as an experimental workshop for pilot projects for primary and secondary school
students, teachers, trainers, adults and people with special educational needs. These projects are carried out by the “Montesca Network”, a European cooperation network working for the promotion and development of joint projects currently involving 20 European countries. The CSFVM coordinates and develops specific activities and research on new teaching methods in relation to didactics and the definition of formal and informal knowledge.

The Cluster of Schools named AGRUPAMENTO DE ESCOLAS JOSÉ ESTÊVÃO (AEJE) is founded in April 2013 and is consisted of 7 schools with a long history and established traditions. The mission of the cluster as a training center is to achieve academic excellence, personal and professional development of its students. The educational model of the AEJE is based on the pursuit of constant development, a positive attitude towards the challenges and the ability to adapt to the new requirements of society. This cluster of schools works with pupils from 3 years old up to the adult population and has more than 2 800 students, gathering experience in working with different types of students with different social status and different backgrounds and interests.
The schools of AEJE has a long and rich experience in providing high-quality education to enhance the career prospects and personal well-being of the students. Moreover, it supports growth and cultural development by exchanging good practices, creating and sharing new methodologies, curiccula and transferring know-how and good practices with partner organizations from Europe.
AEJE has a team of experienced and highly qualified specialists who strive to constantly develop, learn and create new ways of working through a wide variety of innovative methods, tools and projects.
